Tummy tuck

Abdominoplasty corrects a lax abdomen or pannus when skin and contour cause functional or aesthetic concern.

Let us guide you

The abdomen becoming lax can occur naturally and is related to age, sex, body type, body weight, and pregnancies.

In people who have been significantly overweight, a pannus can develop. This often causes functional discomfort as well.

Abdominoplasty is not a way to lose extra weight; a stable and appropriate weight is important for the correction.

When is abdominoplasty suitable?

Before proceeding with the procedure, your weight must be stable.

How does the procedure work?

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. There are several options: mini-abdominoplasty, lipo-abdominoplasty, and fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty.

Scars are planned as low and discreet as possible. Sutures are placed subcutaneously and tacking sutures reduce the risk of seroma. Where possible, no drains are placed according to drainless abdominoplasty.

High Definition abdominoplasty aims for 360° correction by accentuating the shadow lines of muscle contours.

Choose technique

Mini, lipo-abdominoplasty, or fleur-de-lis is chosen according to excess skin, contour, and muscle weakness.

Correct contour

With lipo-abdominoplasty, abdomen and flanks are corrected as a whole, with diastasis repair.

2 to 3 hours

The procedure takes about 2 to 3 hours under general anesthesia.

Frequently asked questions about abdominoplasty

Yes. This is to achieve the best aesthetic contour correction.

Where is the scar?

How long do I wear an abdominal binder?

You wear an abdominal binder for 6 weeks.

Why heparin injections and compression stockings?

They are used for 2 weeks post-operatively to reduce the risk of thrombophlebitis.
