Arm lift

An arm lift removes loose skin on the upper arms and refines the contour.

Let us guide you

With age, extreme weight loss, or pregnancy, the skin on the underside of the upper arm can become lax.

Exercise can strengthen muscles but does not restore excess skin.

An arm lift removes most of this skin and creates a tighter arm contour.

When is this treatment appropriate?

During the consultation, we assess whether this treatment fits your situation.

Discreet bovenarmbeeld voor armlift.

How does the treatment work?

The scar runs along the inner side of the upper arm from armpit to elbow. If excess skin extends into the armpit, it can be lengthened.

The arm lift is combined with liposuction to refine the contour and better preserve small lymphatic and blood vessels.

Measurement

Excess skin and contour are carefully assessed beforehand.

Removal and refinement

Excess skin is removed and liposuction improves the contour.

Subcutaneous closure

The wound is closed with subcutaneous, self-dissolving sutures.

A compression garment remains in place until the first follow-up within the week. Paracetamol is usually sufficient for the first two days.

  5. Recovery

Frequently asked questions

Where does the scar run?

Along the inner side of the upper arm, from armpit to elbow. With extensive excess skin, it can be extended toward the armpit.

Why is liposuction combined?

To further improve the contour and better preserve small lymphatic and blood vessels.

How long does scar maturation take?

Approximately one year. In the early phase, local pressure with silicone sheets is advised.
