How does the operation proceed?
Anesthesia consists of local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the procedure. With a MACS lift, subcutaneous structures are lifted vertically through a minimal incision and suspension sutures. The rejuvenating effect is mainly in the midface.
With a preservation deep plane facelift, cheeks, jawline, and neck are repositioned as one unit. With a deep neck lift, deeper structures of the neck are also treated to define the jawline and neck angle.
A deep plane facelift combined with neck lift achieves full rejuvenation of the face and neck in a very natural way. Both techniques are always combined with microfat lipofilling.

Preparation
The day before surgery, hair is washed with antiseptic soap. No cosmetics are used on the day of surgery.

The procedure
The technique is chosen according to extent: MACS lift, preservation deep plane facelift, or deep neck lift.

Initial recovery
During the first 24 hours, stay calm and avoid moving your head too far forward. Sleeping with the head slightly elevated is recommended. Most swelling disappears after 7 to 10 days.

Follow-up
Sutures are removed one week after surgery. Makeup can be applied from the second week. Work can be resumed after 7 to 10 days.

Yes. They can be performed separately. However, facelift and neck lift are usually recommended together to achieve a harmonious and natural result.
When is a MACS lift chosen?
A MACS lift is mainly suitable for early to moderate skin laxity and has most effect on the midface, less in the neck.
What happens with a deep neck lift?
Deeper structures of the neck are treated to define the jawline and neck angle more sharply. This is done through reduction of deep fat and deep structures and repositioning of the superficial neck muscle (platysma).
When are sutures removed?
Sutures are removed one week after surgery. The hemostatic net is removed after 48 hours.
When can I return to work?
Work can be resumed after one week. Sports activities only after 4 weeks.
