Before treatment, the skin is prepared for two weeks with tretinoin 0.1% cream and hydroquinone 4% cream.

Treatment

The skin feels tight and begins to peel after about 4 days. Do not pull at scabs or flakes.

The old skin cells have completely sloughed off and new skin replaces them. The skin is still fragile. Good hydration is essential.
