Recognisable hand and wrist symptoms
Carpal tunnel syndrome often causes night-time tingling in the thumb, index and middle fingers. De Quervain causes pain on the thumb side of the wrist. With trigger finger, the finger clicks or locks during bending and straightening.
Dupuytren can form nodules or cords in the palm and gradually pull a finger into a bent position. With ulnar nerve irritation, tingling is more often felt in the ring and little fingers.
